The patch has changed the widescreen perspective. I think their original method was fair (says the guy who uses widescreen on 3 of 4 computers--well, 4 if you count 3 5:4 monitors side by side as widescreen). It's not like the box says, "guaranteed more if you have a widescreen!" After all, at any given horizontal res, a widescreen is going to show less: 1600x1200 vs 1600x1024. Certainly a 19" standard def (generally) has a higher resolution than a 19" widescreen. 1280x1024=1310720 vs 1400x900=1260000
