Somewhere in here I posted about my parents 3-2-1 system and I had run some test tones and such to see how it faired. It was terrible. I would just purchase the components yourself and show up at there house. Set them up and let them have a listen and then they can repay you. I can not stress this enough, avoid that 3-2-1 system at all costs. It does not give you surround sound at all. It barely gives you added width to the stereo sound at best and male voices end up coming from the bass module alot of times and not the speakers, I believe it is crossed over at 200hz,IIRC.
When we finish the addition at their house I have planned an Axiom system for them in beech - my treat.
