since most people believe that 'bigger is better', i am sure that most would say to get the 2400 if you can afford it. as far as pairing it with the M60s, you shouldnt have any probs there.. i would stay clear of the M80s though, rumor has it that the Yamaha's wont support a 4 ohm load. and most everyone here loves the whole line of Denon products. it basically comes down to which receiver has the 'sound' that YOU prefer. i know the Denons have a lot of great features, and most say that the Yamaha auto calibration system is a crock, so its up to you.
they are both great companies, that make great HT receivers. take in some input, do some research for your needs, make your purchase and dont have any second thoughts..
but if you ever think you might go with the M80's, take the Denon for sure..
