yeah to be honest unless you are very wealthy ( which you might be) spending 10K+ on a projector is not worth it. You will get a slight improvment over something that costs about 4k. Spending about 6k or 7k more for about a 10% gain in preformance is not worth it. Most of these projector companies are focusing a majority of thier research on the 1k to 4k projectors as they know that is where the market will be. To put in prospective a projector that costs about 2k today is almost 2 times better then a projector that cost 12k 3 years ago. You can not say the same for speakers or receivers. Anyways. really look into the Benq 8700+ for 3999.99 you will get one heck of a projector, and they compare it to projectors that are in the 8 to 12k range.
