Wiggins new Axiom m60 and vp150
New purchase of Axiom m60's and vp150 v3 in my setup. Purchased February 2011. The vp150 is A stock and the m60's are B stock. They replaced Paradigm Monitor 11's and a CC-290 v5's. Pictures taken with iPhone 4.

Very similar design type if he was dissatisfied with the sound of the Axioms, esp the P'digms. The MAs are a touch bright by comparison, to my ears anyway.

The MA RX Silver's are toned down abit/less lively than Paradigm Studio or Axiom, The Gold series is much closer in SQ to Axiom/P'digm, IMO.

I'd suggest looking into Psb's speakers such as the Image or Imagine line speakers. If your considering moving away from the Paradigm Monitors these two would be a step in that direction. I'd also recommend Energy Rc's but they have been discontinued making them hard to locate.

Thanks guys for the suggestions. I preferred the Monitor RX line better than the Image series from PSB. The Imagine towers new are a little out of the price range I am looking at to keep within budget. I auditioned the T5 and the RX6. I preferred the sound of the RX6 and felt it imaged better overall and had more detail in the mid range. I am not discounting the T5 at all. The rosenut wood veneer for the RX6 is real nice and it is a sharp looking speaker. They retail here for $1599, the centre is $849 and the surrounds are around $1000 plus 15% tax.

Focal has some speakers that share a similar sound to the speakers you are looking at, at least to my ears, unfortunately the group they come from escapes me at the moment. When I was auditioning speakers I found that the Focal Chorus 807 monitors had a similar, and IMO superior, midrange and up, to my M80s. The only place the M80s beat them was in bass extension, which was important to me as was getting the best surround speakers I could find and keeping everything matching. So Axiom one. However, I’m still pining after some of those Focals for a second stereo only setup. Note that for most listening the Focal’s bass extension was fine just not for my EBM music.

I wouldn't discount the Psb's either. I auditioned the older image t45 and imo they had excellent imaging...maybe just not pronounced like the MA or Digms. I'd give them another try...just listen a little more closely the deatil is there but the presentation is different. Fwiw..I really like them but after some deliberation I decided on the Energy and now looking for something different myself.
Good luck, Bill

Update
After some more extensive auditioning I am proud to say I am the new owner of Monitor Audio RX6's and a an RXC for my front stage. I have not picked up rears yet at this time but they will be coming eventually. The speakers are in the rosenut wood veneer finish. I am impressed with the bass these small towers have in my room.
So far so good. I will update pictures as well.
