I use Banana Plugs only because they make it easy to plug and unplug speakers from the back of my Denon 3805 AVR. Working with bare speaker wire in cramped spaces is very inconvenient! The plugs are available in several price ranges. I use the 'deluxe' ones made by RCA. They cost about $5-$6 a pair at Home Depot.
