Sutter, assuming it's the soldering that bothers you when it comes to banana plugs, You might be interested in the banana plugs I use.
They can be found at your local
Radio Shack. No soldering required. They screw apart; you slide about a half inch of exposed wire through the bottom half of the plug, fan out the exposed wire, bend it down over the top of the bottom half of the plug, then just screw the top half back on.
I use
SoundKing, 12 gauge speaker wire from Parts Express, and
Dayton innterconnects from Parts Express. Good quality, great price.
