You might want to consider this any way. The in-home trial is the best way to get an accurate assessment of speakers.

If you think you are likely to upgrade the receiver in the future then going with 80s might make sense -- the downside would be that you would need to limit the volume to a level where the receiver didn't go into shutdown. You would still get some pretty decent sound levels IMO, but probably not as good as with M60s.




I agree here as well but I would say that IMHO the 80s sound great a low volume as well. Depending on the source material, most of the time I listen at -17.5 to -22.4 on my Denon dial.

You can always put a fan on the Yammy to cool it off.
