What I have seen is that the flat surfaces are pretty tough... whatever gets on the speakers wipes right off, and there is enough synthetic grain that little scratches etc... don't show. The maple does seem the most likely to show dirt & stains but also seems the easiest to clean with a damp cloth.
On the other hand, if you ding in an edge or corner, it's going to show no matter what... and the only differentiator is going to be whether the edges are a sharp contrast to the walls & floor and attract eyes as a result.
