Denon and HK will have no problems with the 80's. Or you could go with seperates from Rotel, Outlaw, etc... There have been a few people that have had issues with other brands driving 80's. As long as you get the bells and whistles your looking for in a AVR receiver as far as surround decoding you will be fine.

Don't get hooked up on how many watts a receiver puts out, that is really not the most important factor. I have many friends with HK receivers with 70 watts per channel or less, and they will play to any satisfying level. In my opinion, you want to look for a high current design that is full bandwidth rated, for ex., 100 watts per channel 20hz - 20 khz. Many companies claim 130 watts or more, but are only rated at on frequency.

If you still are interested in one of the other receivers, don't forget about the m60ti's, they sound very similar to the 80's and fill my 900 sq ft room with no problems.
