Yes home made. I have a great distressed pine mantle piece and wanted to match it. I made them out of 4 x 10's, 2 x 10's and a 4 x 4. Bang and burn and paint and sand and bang and sand. It's realy quite fun and a lot of work but it matches my home's decor. The bottoms sit on adjustable tri pods because the tile floors are brutal to position them and find a level spot. The wires are run through the 4x4 and hidden pretty well. I used some of that sticky glue/silly putty stuff to keep them from tipping over. I'd do it again.
I am also REALLY liking the new subby. I have had a little time to set it up and it really coming alive and blends really well with the M22's. Sounds like the bass is coming from the M22's - really freaky effect but very cool. Still have problems with bad recordings but that is a blessing, as you all know, when the great recordings come along.
