Yes Jay, the older Yamaha HT receivers had a fixed 90Hz crossover. As summarized from Bren's info, set all speakers "small" and direct bass to "SWFR"; this allows the sub to play the low bass below the selected crossover frequency from "small" speakers(including stereo material) and also any LFE that may occasionally be present during 5.1 movies.
