Well im not sure one can ever learn too much. My receiver settings are fine. If you turn your sub off and set your receiver to 2 channel stereo mode, then go in and switch between the large and small setting you will see what im saying. The large setting has a slightly more warm sound to it. The small setting seems slightly more clear and crisp and even a little harsh to someone that is used to the warmer sound. The difference is small but it is there.
