My 3910 does the same thing but shows HDCD compatability on the front face, DVD audio as well as many DVD's are recorded in HDCD, all players will play the material, although the audio quality will be better if the player has the HDCD chip.
A computer once beat me at chess, but it was no match for me at kick boxing.
