The store I bought them from the sales man sugested adding extra insulation as a customer of his did this and he said it improved the sound a bit, how he knows I don't know, just seems that insulation is in the cabinet to reduce the acoustics within that more be better. I checked and there really isn't a whole lot as it is. But, maybe there is a reason there is only so much in there.

Also the idea of the rubber gasket came from , Paradigm's new Reference line they use a gasket and also the screws that hold the speaker housing to the cabinet is in a rubber type device that eliminates metal to metal contact. Also insulates between the metal speaker housing and the cabinet. Not that you will notice anything, but resently my one midrange speaker started to vibrate loudly when I play Tragically Hips Blow at High Dough, just during the bass intro it must be in that frequency level , but this came to mind. It only happens in the one speaker cabinet.
