Now there's one I've never heard! A bubbler around here is something you stick in the lake to keep the ice around your dock open. This helps to protect your dock when the ice is going out. It also helps to get rid of pesky snowmobilers who are too close to your property! Actually, every one I've seen is marked with a big Danger-Open Water sign.
