Thanks for the replies guys. My wife went Christmas shopping in Michigan, and picked up an SPL meter for me. It was hillarious. I got a call from her that basically went like this:
Her: Yeah, I'm standing here in Radio Shack, eh.
Me: Oh, good! Do they have any in stock?
Her: Yep, both. You didn't tell me they were 50 bucks. And you need this, why?
Me: To dial-in the stereo.
Her: You're kidding me, right? You've got the best sounding system of anyone we know, and you're still not happy?!?!
Me: [silence]
Her: You
REALLY need it?
Me: Yep.
Her: Fine.
