I ended up buying one at Best Buy a couple weeks ago. Finally got around to hooking it up and popped in a movie today. My boy and I watched Decent. Pretty good flick. Found myself getting a bit nervous when they were crawling around in them itsy bitsy tunnels. I hell, I might as well admit it, this movie scared the piss out of me more than once.
I hope this particular movie isn't considered one of the 'good ones' though. I've seen numerous HD-dvds that are much better looking. Some of my SD dvd's looked better than this one.
The multi channel PCM rocks though, and my stupid reciever would appear to be down sampling it to 48kHz from 96. Hopefully the new reciever won't do this, if it ever shows up.
I've got to get a real remote for this thing..... It's just weird using a gameing controller to watch movies. I think I might just buy a game or two too... Playing a game on an eight foot sreen in HD is somewhat apealing to me. Or maybe I better not, I'd never leave this room I suspect....
