The search tool will actualy bring back lots of threads on B&W versus Axiom comparisons. I can give you some of my thoughts.
About three years ago I was in the market for new speakers. I spent many months auditioning brands such as NHT, Paradigm, and B&W. After many in home demo's and listening at a local family owned hi-end business. I was looking at the 703's for mains, but the price was a little out of reach for my budget at the time.
I then came across Axiom on the net and had a local audition. Man, I was so glad I didn't spend the money on the 703's. Not that they were not good, I liked them very much. But for the money, Axiom was unbelievable.
My first Axiom setup consisted of m60's, vp150, ep350, and 4 qs8's. The m60's, in my opinion, were much better than the 600 series B&W's and were equal or better than the 703's. So a closer comparison to the m60's would be the 703's or higher.
I currently have the m80's, and they are unreal.
