I’m in the process of building a HD Media Center and I was hoping some of you guys could give me a few pointers…
I’m thinking on using a PC I already own w/ WinMCE05. I’m undecided what route to go for HDef though; either add/buy a decent HD video card and a few other upgrades to the PC plus an external DVD-HD / BluRay player, or, just buy an Xbox360 (elite?) and use it as a MC extender plus the HD-DVD expansion. I’m leaning towards the Xbox360, but seem like the Xbox lacks analog outputs for lossless DolbyTrue HD. Is this correct? What about the PS3? Their new price is attractive but I know nothing about the PS3 features ...my last gaming console was the original Atari, no kidding
Also, I’m pretty much set on buying a Sanyo PLV-Z5 for about $1550. Is there any other projector in that price range I should consider? Thank you all very much in advance.
