Hey all! I was referred to Axiom Audio earlier in the summer when I was looking for a budget audio system on another forum.

I didn't have much of a budget since the majority of it went towards my TV, so I planned to start with a stereo system and work my way up. I just know that I wanted the best speakers I could afford and was all set to buy a pair of M3s until I found a great deal on a pair of used M22s.

I was so impressed by the speakers that I brought them home (I'm a college kid) to let my dad hear them. He liked them so much that he kept them! I didn't mind since it finally motivated him (us) to work on turning the basement into a dedicated home theater.

With the M22s as the new mains came a new receiver (Onkyo 605), a front projector (Mitsu HD1000u), subwoofer (HSU VTF 3.3), an HD-DVD player (Toshiba A2), a universal remote (Logitech Harmony 880) as well as a DIY screen and a riser.

It was a fun summer project but is by no means complete (we got a little lazy after everything was hooked up).

I think the biggest problem now, is that because we got such a great deal on the M22s he flat out refuses to pay the full price for the VP150 and the QS-4s. He's a stubborn guy but really I can't blame him since the audio is still impressive despite having a JBL center channel that isn't timbre matching and Bose Redline cubes as surrounds.

I check eBay and Audiogon frequently in hopes that I can find a good deal (I've since found another pair of M22s for myself), but unfortunately most of the great deals for the QSs and VP-150s aren't in black. We'll get this done eventually I promise!

Anyways, I just wanted to share my summer experience with fellow enthusiasts. Here are some pictures of the process! (Sorry if they are a little blurry)
