Where is Rich when you need him \:\) I currently use a set of Grado 325is. These have been my favorite so far. I have tried some Senns in the past but not the higher end models. The ones I have tried, up to the HD570s, seem dark and not as alive as the Grado models, SR 60s iGrado and the 325s, that I have.

The AKGs are also a very good brand to look into. I have a set of AKG K501s that sound very good. Not as good as the Grados imo though.

Are you going to be running a headphone amp?
