There have been occasional reports of problems with D&M(Denon & Marantz)products, but it should be kept in mind that major manufacturers have employees assigned to monitor audio discussion boards. It's entirely possible that when they saw that this was Mike Drew the reaction was along the lines of "Everyone else has screwed Mike, now's our chance!".
