Michael, it's just a question of wire. I have the D*TV HR20 PVR and - like Nick's Dish model - all the outputs are active all the time. So, you could send the HDMI to your plasma and also route the component (or S-Video) to another set somewhere else. You wouldn't be able to watch different programs, but you could distribute the same signal no problem. Furthermore, the HR20 remote is RF out of the box, so I believe you could use a IR Universal remote in the main room and use the HR20 remote in another room to control the same box.
