Hi everyone,

Just wanting to say a big "Hello!" to all who frequent this board. Like many I lurked behind the scenes while I made my final decisions, reading all pertinent posts and information I needed to make the big decision. Thank you for your help (and I'll apologize upfront for the length of this post).

You'll be happy to know I decided on an Axiom Epic 80/500 7.1 system in HG Cherry, and I will have it paired with a Denon 3808 to start (I've already got the receiver).

Now to the bad news. I have no pictures because I haven't received my speakers. I've read many opinions that Axiom has excellent customer service, and I would tend to agree. Unfortunately for me, it seems like something may have gone amiss with my order.

Last week I called to see when it might be shipped (after patiently waiting 3 weeks) and they politely informed me that my speakers were ready to ship Friday Feb 15th and that I would receive a confirmation email that day. That was great news.

However, I received no email of said shipping confirmation the entire weekend. So I called yesterday (Monday) and because of the holiday in Ontario they were unable to help me and asked me to call back today (Tues) or tomorrow. Okay, I can live with that. So this morning I called back as directed, and was informed that my order will not be shipped until at least the week of March 3rd, a full six weeks after paying for them. The fellow this morning also told me that whomever I spoke to last week was wrong and politely apologized.

So 10 minutes ago I checked Axiom's website, and for custom finishes it indicates: "Your Axiom CustomShop Loudspeakers and Surround Stands take 4 weeks or less to deliver. "

So now I don't know what to believe or think and basically have no idea when my order might be shipped, and I don't want to call every couple days for a potential date. I have no problem with waiting, but when I'm given a date and it's missed, and then told the original date was wrong I'm a little upset. When I originally placed the order in January I was also told they would likely be in my possession within 3 weeks, 4 at the latest.

Again I apologize for the length of this post and any complaining I've done, but I guess I'm so eager to get my hands on these speakers and actually here them that the wait is killing me. It also didn't help to see other forum members place their orders after mine for similar systems and already receive their speakers.

Has anyone else experienced a similar problem? If so what advice would you offer?

When they do arrive, I'll be using them in my basement home theatre with an Optoma H27 projector (an excellent projector for its time and price), and I will definitely post some pictures! I've already picked out the first albums and movies to test on them as well, not to mention planning upgrades like a second EP500.
