Around the time I bought my 58" Panny plasma (2 years ago), there was quite a thread on AVS about plasma break-in. Links were provided for a couple of DVD (even to download & burn yourself). One of the really interesting suggestions was to just turn on the Discovery Channel and let the TV run for 24 hours. That's what I did (no burn-in from the Discovery Channel emblem) and it turned out fine.
The point of the exercise is to get the little plasma thingies excited and bouncing off each other to turn sharp corers into round edges so they all play nice after that. AS you can see, I am INCREDIBLY technical.
