Very clever, innovative solution you used. Glad the advice came in handy. It's a great life experience raising a child. Enjoy it--they grow up too quickly. Mine is now in college, but when he was barely able to walk I explained that all the hi-fi gear was papa's equipment and not to be touched without permission. But you were right to do the speaker anchoring thing as a safeguard.

It's amazing how these early lessons hold in later years. He used my custom tonearm/delicate cartridge (floppy suspension turntable) without incident beginning at about age 10.
