How big is your room? My guess is that the EP175 is not enough to fill in for the gap between the low end of the M22's. For the same price as the EP500, you could get the M60, and for just a bit more, the M80's, that produce about as much bass as you could ever want with music. I think if you are fairly happy with the EP175 for movies but are looking for better musical speakers you would do very well with either some M60's, or M80's.

While waiting on my EP800 amp to arrive I was shocked by how well my M80's alone kept up with the full range of musical notes. I was starting to think I didn't even need a subwoofer! They play almost to the very bottom of the musical range. The subwoofer is mostly just there for LFE during movies.
