EQ and level calibration are two different things. The H/K 525 has auto level calibration (I think it's called EZ-Set). This adjusts the volume level of each speaker so that they are all the same loudness from the listening position. The Yamaha takes it one step further. In addition to adjusting the volume of each speaker, it will adjust the frequency response of each speaker by boosting or cutting certain frequency ranges so that each speaker has a flatter response in the room.
