Murph the airport where I work out of has a couple of guys who trains folks on both backpack and cart type paragliders and I've seen several of the carts take some nasty tumbles whereas I've never seen any serious incidents with the backpack models, the cart models seems to always have issues with landing (usually too fast) while the backpack models have more issues trying to get enough airspeed to get lift in the parachute to get airborne. It can be quite amusing at times.
