That's pretty much the player I was predicting. It's a BDP-83 without the Anchor Bay chip, and a few small omissions, like the wired remote, and RS-232 port.

I'd think a "large screen" is any that fills your field of view by more than 75%. This player doesn't have as good a scaler chip as the 83, so if your screen appears big enough, you'll notice the lower quality upscaling of DVDs. The BD playback quality should be the same.

EDIT: Oh, it doesn't have the 7.1 analog out either. Good riddance, says the digital boy. \:\)

EDITEDIT: I read that wrong, it has the 7.1 out, it just doesn't have the higher quality stereo out.
