Totem Sttaf's , $1600 a pair , imaging and sound quality was very nice but with a 5 1/4 inch driver im afraid the bottom end would not be enough without a better quality sub then i am currently using but i plan to upgrade down the road .

Just how much bass are you looking for?
Based on your car audio description, i doubt many floorstanding speakers of typical size will fulfill your preference.
You may not have a choice but to include a sub of quality into your system.
SVS tubes make for a huge bass content if one prefers, and at reasonable prices.
