Unless you are listening to a lot of pipe organ music or stuff with a lot of synth, a sub that reaches to 30Hz, maybe even only 35Hz would be enough.

I would look at duals (to smooth out the in room response) with a -3db point somewhere in the 30-35Hz range.

I suspect that the PB10NSD was optimized for HT and has a midbass hump to give more punch for those dramatic kabooms.

Is the DSP3100 the sub that Jay tested in his subwoofer quest?
