Personally, I would go with the M2 as center channel. I have the VP100 in/on wall and I'm not satisfied with the timbre match with the M22's. The in-wall M2 should be much closer IMO. Although, I would give some thought to mounting a VP150 box speaker either on the wall or on a short stand under the TV.
You will probably not want to sit that close to the back wall. From what others have said in the past is, if you have the room, move your sitting position a few feet from the back wall for better sound.
