In general I agree with what John just said, however.
Question is, are you giving up any sound quality going with the on walls vs. their free standing counterparts? The cabinet doesn't seem to have quite the depth of the free standing version.
IMO you do sacrifice sound quality with in walls because it limit’s how you can place the speakers both for bass response and more important for imaging. IMO a big advantage of using bookshelf speakers with a good subwoofer is that it let’s you place each type of speaker for it’s best performance. Using on/in wall speakers inherently limits you to wall mounting which has a profound effect on how the speakers perform (good or bad).
IMO free standing speakers are better for tweaking or re-tasking later as you build your system, but ultimately it depends on how you plan to grow you your system.
