I will add my thoughts on the subject, I would bet the reviewer likes a more direct sound than that of the QS8's. The ERD's are more like a direct radiator with the woofer pointing at the listener, as it plays most of what you would really hear, the midrange, making sound more like a direct radiating speaker, at least IMO as I have never heard one.
