I had exactly the same spousal problem. The maple finish did appear to be white on the webpage, so I ordered them with tan grills, with the understanding that if the wife wasn't pleased I could return them. The speakers arrived and the finish is actually more of a natural wood finish, though very attractive, they did not fit into the wife's decor. Called Axiom and special ordered eggshell white with eggshell white grills and was told it could take up to six weeks to manufacture and deliver. I received them in less than two weeks and Axiom even let me keep the maple ones until the new ones arrived (great customer service). The eggshell white really looks good and received spousal consent. It cost me an extra 95 bucks, but the wife is happy. Not that it would do me any good at this point, but maybe Axiom should consider offering the surrounds in white as a standard finish.
