The performance of the M22 positioned horizontally would be acceptable, although ideally the best performace would be to be placed vertically. If you do place them horizontally, ensure that the front of the speaker is forward of the shelf it is being set on by at least a 1/2 inch, so not to affect the dispersion. Also, place the tweeters to the inside so they mirror image each other.Many of our customers who have orientated the speakers horizontally used wedge shaped rubber doorstops to prevent the speaker from toppling back.
