I don't think she fully realized what the new system would sound like (though I remember my centre channel sounding as good as the commercially built ones in 1990 - there have been some advances in driver/enclosure technology in 15 years!) and after hearing her Evanescence CD in Axiom stereo, suddenly she's on the bandwagon and I don't have any of the rationalization issues that other guys have with their significant others.
'Course... I also confine my twiddling to times when she's not around... when a movie goes on, I leave the remote on the table. (Rule #1 for a healthy HT relationship!)
