Here are some pics of our visit to Axiom last week that was so ably hosted by Debbie & Ian.

The computer controlled wood milling machine was quite incredible that makes such accurate cuts & routering of the MDS. They were building some On-Wall M22s & just starting the LFRs while we were there.

Debbie showed us the paint booth where a wood cabinet was undergoing sanding & polishing - 10 coats for the finished product. No wonder the real wood finishes come at a premium, but they sure are beautiful.

Ian demonstrated s freq sweep of a speaker in the Anechoic Chamber. Behind him in the corner is a vintage frequency sweep unit that was used in AX2 times before computers came on line.

Some new Amps were being tested in the lab using a pair of M3s - the first time that I'd heard those speakers - I liked them! On the wall in the destruction lab were a couple of drivers that had been punished beyond their limits.

At the end we listened to EC's 'Clapton' CD on the LFRs - very nice!

My thanks for the Axiom Staff for giving us a comprehensive tour & for providing such a pleasant experience...
