Never seen it or heard it. But I have an old JVC receiver. Back from the plain old Dolby Surround days. Not the best sound or most powerful (but that was then and this is now), but built like a tank. Never had any problems with it. Meanwhile my Sony Dolby Digital receiver (that cost 2x $$$) died on me three times before I just left it for dead. JVC has always been there for me when I had nothing left so I could at least have some kicked up ampage.

Sound = couldn't tell you.
Reliability = indestructable
