If you need to plug the port, then put a sock inside it. I have LFR1100 that have multiple ports on the back. They for some reason sell the M100 speakers with port plugs but the LFR1100'a without.

I found that plugging one of the ports on the back of the speaker helped it sound better for my room. I used white socks as I didn't want to colour the sound of the speakers. But I have heard that black socks offer a bit more deadening.
