Myself when I started my Axiom venture, I was running M22, M3 and vp160 with an Onkyo 525. It was great plenty of power for them no clipping. Then I got M80s{4ohm} noticed some heat in the A.V.R. upgraded to a THX Tascam PA-R200 pro A.V.R. When I went from low end to higher grade A.V.R. there was a noticeable difference $600 unit vs $1500 unit. More dynamic and more details came through that I noticed.
Although I now run my M80s through a hefty Power Amp. With your speakers most of us would recommend you avoid the entry level A.V.R.s although your current A.V.R. is very capable already.
