Charles, how do the LFRs sound with vs. without room correction software?
I have to admit I haven't really done a lot of comparison. When I calibrate, I usually just do Audyssey to let it set the distances, but then I turn the room correction off after I've gone through it. Out of respect for Ian and Andrew not being fans.
Based on the little bit I've heard right after running the calibration on multiple occasions, I didn't feel like I was losing anything at all after turning it off.
Also, Audyssey invariably wants me to check the polarity on either my LFRs or my QS8s, though it's not always consistent on which ones.
