As a first step I would turn the M5HP's upside-down to get the tweeters closer to ear level. It's possible that change alone will be enough to fill the center sound out enough - probably not but IMO worth doing anyways.

It's hard to tell from the pictures but are the two M5HP's the same distance from listening position ?
