I think the combination of the M3s and the Technics SADX1040 is an excellent one. For some reason these speakers sound great with this series of Technics receivers. I grabbed an SADX940 to hold me over until I decided on a tube amp, and used a Velodyne CHT80 to help the M3s down low. Made sweet music. I'm not familiar with the Samsung DVD/CD player, but I think the source is one of the most important components in the chain.
