I believe it depends on the processing. Dolby EX uses differnet information for the back channels, mainly for ambience. I don't know how much or little (It might depend on the director?) the rear channels get. Good thought, I would be intrested knowing more about this.

I have a friend that just re-coned his vintage Advents. I like the sound of them. You should hear them behind a tube amp, its incredible. If you decide to get rid of the Advents, I think you could sell them quick.
