Someone is a happy camper. I think that you have summed up what the true strength of the Axiom line is. The midrange and the high end are where these speakers really shine. Bass extension may be the parameter that most impresses your friends (certainly true on a quick audition), but the midrange and treble are where the music lives. Axioms can put performers in your room as well as anybody out there regardless of price. It is that quality which separates the great speakers from the also rans. It is that which determines the livability and the lasting quality of these remarkable products. Two, three years from now, when you sit down and listen and still say "wow", that is when you know that you have found real gold.
