I recently recieved my m80ti speakers but I have a problematic room.My previous speakers were Mirage frx 7s and AR9s.No matter what I did the Bass was excessive and boomy.I purchased a Audio Control half octave Richter Scale bass control equalizer with a sound meter and calibrated mike.The adjustable points are 22.5hz,31.5,45,63,and 125hz with 250hz as the reference frequency.I was able to smooth out the bass response to a large degree.With the m80s I have a problem.There seems to be a problem somewhere between 31.5hz and 45hz.Unequalized the speakers Were peaking out +6 dbs at31.5hzs.Equalized the most I can get it down to is +2dbs.All other frequencys are almost flat.The speakers still sound boomy no matter where I move them.I am really frustrated at this point.Anybody have any ideas?Please help.
