Wish I had the funds and the time to perform other comparisons. I still have the Bose 301's laying around as well as my early 80's model altec bookshelves. But I know that niether of these speakers could compete with a solid Canadian company. One of my friends just bought a pair of 2B's despite my pestering for him to at least audition the Athena line which I have been dying to hear(that same friend also got conned into spending $130 on 15ft of wire and interconnects, and a subwoofer cable by our local audio dealer). My bro bought a HTIB so he doesn't have squat I can compare with. Other than that, none of my friends at the University have anything I can compare as they are all poor like me. I might try and rub some elbows with my professors this fall to find out who has a decent system and spent too much dough on their system...
